In 1994 Opium started painting on walls with his own name of Oppio (Italian name of Opium).Having seen the movie “Beat Street” a new passion exploded in his soul. Initially starting painting was difficult from every point of view, since this culture was still semi unknown in his town, there were very few writers in his area and material was few and far between.
From 1997 untill 2004 Opium suspended his activity as he was thinking to stop painting, due to some family problems. In 2005 Opium met Zeus40 and Rota, young people that were interested in the writing world, thanks to their influence, Opium had a new artistic momentum and all together they formed the new crew called “WildBoys” Opium’s style has changed significantly but he always keeps the link with his roots old school graffiti.
His aim now is to gain knowledge of other graffiti cultures and experience new things in this world wide phenomenal movement.
